Leading demand generation agency acquires acclaimed social CRM consulting firm

The Pedowitz Group (TPG), the world’s largest and most experienced demand generation agency, announced today that it has acquired acclaimed social media and social CRM consulting firm Metz Consulting.

The acquisition will enable The Pedowitz Group to provide its marketing clients with world-class social revenue marketing services and expertise.

As a result of the acquisition, veteran social media expert and author Adam Metz – best known for creating the social media strategy for the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau and The New York Times’ Thomas L. Friedman – and fellow Metz Consulting associate, Christina Fan, have joined TPG’s team of esteemed Revenue Marketers.

Metz joins TPG as the agency’s first Director of Social Business and Fan will assume the role of Associate Revenue Engineer.

“We are extremely proud to join The Pedowitz Group team and look forward to providing our social revenue marketing strategy to TPG clients as part of their expert revenue marketing team,” said Metz.

Metz, who is widely regarded as the first consultant to devise a holistic social web analytics model for clients, is the author of the book, There Is No Secret Sauce, which is currently in its third printing. His second book, The Social Customer (McGraw Hill Professional), is scheduled for publication in July 2011.

“The acquisition of Metz Consulting enables us to provide marketing clients with expert social revenue marketing services,” said Jeff Pedowitz, president and CEO of The Pedowitz Group. “Metz is dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality social business consulting and social revenue management to customers and we are excited to welcome both Adam and Christina to our team of Revenue MarketersTM, which represents some of the most highly regarded thought leaders in the demand generation space.”
