Active Voice Adds Heightened Scalability, Security and Productivity Features in Next Generation Flagship Product

(SEATTLE, WA—June 20, 2007)— Active Voice, LLC, a global provider of voice mail, unified communications and speech-activated solutions, today provided a sneak peek of what’s-to-come in their soon-to-be-released next generation flagship solution for the large enterprise. After recently announcing VideoMail as an integrated component of their upcoming solution, Active Voice is now outlining additional new and enhanced features that will make up Kinesis 3.0. These features are designed to streamline enterprise communication capabilities by simplifying the migration and user adoption processes. In addition to VideoMail, Kinesis 3.0 will boast several functionalities including clustering, voice mail telephony user interface (TUI) emulation for all major aging voice mail systems, a ViewCall call control utility, and the Find Me Follow Me (FMFM) application.

“Active Voice has taken the suggestions of our valued customers and added and enhanced substantial features to Kinesis 3.0 that we believe will help to simplify the Unified Messaging landscape and shorten the user adoption cycle,” said Eyal Inbar, General Manager of Marketing, Active Voice. “These features will offer businesses the next level of intelligent messaging by arming them with the ability to use virtually any communication device to access and control their messages, data and real-time communications from a more robust, yet simple-to-use platform.”

Enhanced capabilities within Kinesis 3.0 architecture include geographically dispersed clustering, failover, replication, redundancy and security to ensure enterprise business continuity. In case of an emergency – either natural or man-made – these capabilities will continue to work as part of the application’s disaster recovery channel.

Also included will be mobility and real-time collaboration features such as ViewCall, which provides desktop call control and visibility of live incoming calls with a simple non-intrusive control panel. Users can select from multiple actions or greetings to optimize the caller’s experience, thus deploying more intelligent messaging. ViewCall brings together the best of two worlds – real-time and non real-time messaging – by intelligently allowing users to receive different communications for certain times in an efficient, highly adoptable manner. ViewCall is designed to integrate with Jabber and other major instant messenger solutions to provide increased “Presence Awareness” capabilities to the user.

The Find Me Follow Me (FMFM) application is a powerful new set of functions that allow multiple greetings per subscriber, as well as the ability to enable users to stay connected and control their communications wherever they are, or with whatever communications device they wish to use. In addition, the FMFM application increases the intelligent communications component of the new system by streamlining Microsoft Exchange tasks and actions including call transfer, greeting playback, message record and auto-copy message features.

The Octel and Centigram Voice Mail TUI emulations have been updated in Kinesis 3.0 to better protect a user’s investment by reducing the cost to retrain staff. With OctelNet integration, users can introduce upgrade machines at their own pace, replacing only a few of their aging voice mail systems and minimizing impact to budgets and operations.

“Our main objective with integrating these upcoming features in Kinesis 3.0 is to provide the user with a faster, more reliable and easier way to communicate to their audiences while also simplifying migration for IT administrators,” said Daniel Vlad, General Manager of Engineering, Active Voice. “The capabilities of Kinesis 3.0 ultimately help users to move into Unified Communications at their own pace while also ensuring heightened security, scalability and business continuity.”

Active Voice Kinesis 3.0 will be generally available July 2007.
