Sage UK Implements Harte-Hanks Trillium Software(r) Data Quality Solution

ALDERMASTON, UNITED KINGDOM – 8 August 2007 – Harte-Hanks Trillium Software (NYSE: HHS), a leading enabler of Total Data Quality solutions, today announced Sage (UK) Limited as a new customer implementation of the Trillium Software System. Sage (UK) Limited provides software and services to more than 700,000 businesses in the United Kingdom and is a subsidiary of The Sage Group plc.

Sage has selected the full Trillium Software System suite of products to support an enterprise-wide drive in the United Kingdom for customer and prospect data quality improvement. Earlier this year, Sage implemented Trillium Software’s TS Discovery solution for data profiling and analysis. In May 2007, it employed TS Quality within its central customer database for data cleansing, enrichment and ongoing quality management. TS Insight, for data quality monitoring, will be implemented later in the year.

“Businesses change name, address and contact details frequently, and when you have hundreds of thousands of customers, it’s a constant challenge to keep their data up to date,” said John O’Connor, customer data manager, Sage (UK) Limited. “The Trillium Software System will help us ensure accurate information to improve the productivity of sales and marketing operations and customer service. It will also support our regulatory compliance with the [UK] Data Protection Act and future data quality programmes across the business.”

“We are very impressed with the power of TS Quality to improve the quality of our data, straight out of the box and with no customisation,” O’Connor continued. “Already, 25% of our records have been improved in their accuracy and 92% of all records now match to the UK Royal Mail Postcode Address File (PAF). We are now beginning to add our own business and data rules to combine with those supplied with TS Quality and expect even greater improvements, targeting a 100% PAF match.”
