IntelliCom Analytics Research Confirms Active Voice as a Leading Unified Communications Vendor Globally

(SEATTLE, WA—September 20, 2007)— Active Voice, LLC, a global provider of voice mail, unified communications and speech-activated solutions, today announced it was named by enterprise decision makers as a leading Unified Communications (UC) vendor of choice for global businesses, according to an IntelliCom Market Dashboard Alert published in August 2007 by IntelliCom Analytics.

In a joint research effort conducted by TMCNet and IntelliCom, more than 500 business decision makers were asked if they would look to their current voice platform vendor as their preferred provider of Unified Communications applications. For the responding businesses that have already embarked on UC rollouts, over 50% had decided to choose a UC provider other than their current telephony vendor. For enterprises based in Europe, Asia Pacific and Central and Latin America, Active Voice was among the preferred providers of UC applications and solutions.

“Many enterprises today operate voice networks with a mixture of traditional and IP-PBXs provided by multiple vendors at various locations,” remarks Frank Stinson, senior analyst and practice leader for IntelliCom’s Market Dashboard programs. “For these businesses, a leading third party vendor like Active Voice, that can deliver UC applications that interoperate in mixed environments, is very attractive – especially if the enterprise has some concerns about the interoperability of their incumbent PBX vendor’s solutions.”

“We believe these research findings demonstrate that enterprises select Active Voice over other UC providers, as we are able to help customers move from aged messaging systems to unified and intelligent messaging to Unified Communications in the easiest way possible and with the greatest ROI to the organization,” said Eyal Inbar, General Manager of Marketing, Active Voice. “Active Voice is able to accomplish this as we leverage their already existing investment in technology and communications as much as possible, and we work with them to migrate from their familiar messaging system to a comprehensive UC platform simply and seamlessly.”

Recently, Active Voice launched the release of its next generation Unified Messaging system, Kinesis* 3.0, delivering a wide range of innovative messaging and mobility features that help companies streamline communications and business workflow, such as convenient access to voice, fax and e-mail messages from the phone, Microsoft Outlook® client, or browser.

Active Voice also introduced VideoMail as an integrated component of Kinesis 3.0. VideoMail is a first-of-its-kind solution offered with the Unified Communications technology landscape. With VideoMail, users create and deliver video messages and screen captures via e-mail. Moreover, users are able to record and playback voice and video messages from their Outlook client. Users can also choose to create a video with a camera or record an animated screen capture, or both. The flexibility of VideoMail also enables audio files created during video capture to be accessed and played back via phone.
