Where are b2b marketers spending scarce dollars in 2011 to find new customers?

MarketingSherpa has the answers below. Here’s my take on it.

If you don’t have a blog (featuring happy people) or content marketing matches with a social media strategy – get with the program.

  • It’s in with the new: Websites, search marketing and social media.
  • It’s out with the old: Broadcast, print, and direct mail (Someone needs to tell auto and pharma companies.)

Marketing Spend 2011

If you want to find new customers for your business, embrace the new. Fix your website, optimize it for search, embrace social media – but most of all, focus on content marketing – publishing great articles, videos, narrated slide presentations, wit and humor, etc.
