DIRECTV Adopts Antenna Software’s AMPower(tm) SALES To Deliver Real-Time CRM Data to Field Sales Managers

In its highly competitive market space, DIRECTV is constantly looking for ways to improve customer relationships. Keeping with its spirit of innovation, DIRECTV turned to Antenna Software to help mobilize its CRM system. The objective was to provide its 75 area sales managers, directors and vice presidents supporting 5,000 dealer networks across the country with the most up-to-date marketing and sales information – even while mobile in the field. With these metrics and other key customer data at hand, sales managers can increase their effectiveness, spending more face time with dealers, nurturing those relationships and making them as profitable as possible.

“We were looking for a mobile solution that would enable our sales managers to sit in front of a dealer and quickly and easily pull up metrics, including number of activations, financial data and open service requests,” said Erik Walters, manager of technical operations, DIRECTV. “We chose AMPower SALES mainly because it provided the most mobile functionality and flexibility, permitted the greatest amount of customization and required the least amount of support from the IT department.”

Since deploying AMPower SALES earlier this year, the DIRECTV sales team has saved more than 90 hours a week by mobilizing its CRM system. Additional business benefits due to AMPower SALES include:

· Better Access to the Data: Sales managers have experienced a 100 percent increase in visibility to application data from internal systems. Instead of wading through potentially out-of-date, inaccurate data, they now have consistent information that is updated daily.

· Improved Sales Efficiencies: Since adopting AMPower SALES, sales managers can do their jobs more quickly and customers benefit from seeing them more often. As a result, DIRECTV has seen a 30 percent increase in number of accounts that are visited each week.
