The article Seven Ways to Make Your Customers Love You is a great article; but quite honestly, a lot of the information is mere common sense. It is good, however, to read (and share) articles such as this. Many companies (and the people who make up the companies) sometimes seem to forget?or neglect?the basics, like saying thank you and showing your best and most loyal customers how much you appreciate them.

As the article states, the number one reason why customers leave is due to a feeling of indifference towards a product or service. I also believe that this is amplified by the fact that there is so much competition and so many companies vying for the same market-share.

With that in mind, companies are often so worried about finding new customers, they forget about what it takes to keep their current ones. Also, many companies think they know what their customers want, but often they are dead wrong?and don’t even know it.

This article is a great point of reference to get back to the basics, like figuring out what your customers want?based on facts and not assumptions or how important it is to always deliver, and if you can’t?inform, inform, inform! It is critical that you don’t hide from problems when they arise, as that only makes matters worse.

I don’t want to give the whole article away, so I recommend that you read it, remember the basics and work equally as hard at keeping your current customers, as you do finding new ones.
