Active Voice Ranks Third for North American Systems Shipped in InfoTech’s “InfoTrack for Converged Applications: First Half of 2007 North American Report”

(SEATTLE, WA – February 5, 2008) — Active Voice, LLC, a global leader in Unified Messaging, Unified Communications and speech-activated solutions, today announced its position as the third leading Unified Messaging provider for messaging systems shipped in North America, according to the InfoTrack for Converged Applications (ICA): First Half of 2007 (1H07) North American Report, published by The Telecom Intelligence Group (InfoTech).

“Active Voice continued to show very strong growth in the first half of 2007 versus the prior comparable period in 2006,” said Ken Dolsky, Vice President and ICA Program Director at InfoTech. “The report shows that North America mailbox shipments by Active Voice rose by 32 percent in 1H07 compared to 1H06, and the company increased its market share in overall mailbox shipments from 7.2 percent to 9.3 percent over the same periods placing third in North America system shipments.”

“The findings in this ICA report confirms Active Voice’s growing market position as a North American leader in Unified Messaging,” said Eyal Inbar, General Manager, Active Voice. “The report also validates the importance of simplifying the migration process from legacy voicemail systems to Unified Communications through Unified Messaging. In turn, more and more IT administrators and business users are encouraged to adopt Unified Communications at an increased rate, which we believe will be a significant customer trend in 2008.”

Active Voice followed a strong first half in 2007 by launching several major technology advancements, such as the first-of-its kind VideoMail for UM through its enterprise solution, *Kinesis 3.0, as well as Repartee 10.0. The release of Kinesis 3.0 for enterprises and Repartee 10.0 for small-to-mid size businesses (SMBs) continued the Company’s momentum in differentiating itself from other providers.

“Over the last several months, Active Voice has introduced some innovative messaging functionality that differentiates them from the competition and appeals to a more technologically savvy generation of users,” said Sandra Gustavsen, Analyst at TelecomTactics, a database and newsletter publication that covers the business telephony industry. “VideoMail, support for iGoogle or iTunes personal portals and voice/fax notifications via RSS feeds to a desktop or mobile device, including an Apple iPod, are just a few of the new forward-looking solutions from Active Voice.”

Inbar added: “Unified Messaging is a very significant part of UC and probably the easiest to demonstrate actual business value. We have been using our presence in the UM market to build advanced communications applications that provide customers real business solutions such as FindMe FollowMe, ViewCall and VideoMail.”

Data and analysis presented in this ICA report focused on messaging system shipments in North America for the first half of 2007. ICA tracked the shipment of messaging mailboxes/seats and messaging systems for both IP and TDM systems. ICA also tracked shipments of messaging mailboxes/seats in two categories: voice messaging (voice-only capability) and Unified messaging (voice, e-mail and fax messages unified in the same messaging mailbox).
