IRVINE, Calif. – August 7, 2007 – Uniloc USA Inc., the technology leader in physical device recognition for protecting intellectual property, networks and personal data, today unveiled its softANCHOR™ Technology Partner Program for independent software vendors (ISVs), designed to help consumer and enterprise software developers enhance marketing opportunities while mitigating the propagation of high-volume piracy. Premiere partners include Arxan, Intraware, Kagi, Plimus, Reprise, and V.i. Labs.

The cornerstone of the partner program is Uniloc’s softANCHOR copy control software, which seamlessly interoperates with the industry’s most powerful IP protection solutions. Using softANCHOR, publishers can easily create, maintain and enforce a full range of rights and licensing models including trial periods and multi-device fair use. Far from a software activation wrapper, softANCHOR gives developers direct access to copy protection code and allows them to easily embed this code for user authentication. This, in turn, allows for an unlimited number of tripwires and validation checkpoints without burdening the purchasing customer.

The new softANCHOR Technology Partner Program leverages the copy protection capabilities of softANCHOR and combines it with interoperability between each of the technology partners. ISVs and enterprises will benefit by being able to develop their software applications more securely, without affecting time-to-market deadlines or development practices while maximizing revenue preservation. The program provides options for Uniloc’s technology partners to bring device locking solutions in a variety of ways to their end customers. For example, Level One partners have the option of embedding Uniloc device locking directly into their software and offering softANCHOR as a standalone solution for third-party software developers. Level Two partners have the option of joint selling or reselling softANCHOR as a value-added product or as a standalone product. All partners have access to the Uniloc training center and on-demand support center, as well as:

• Unprecedented developer access to softANCHOR source code, enabling ISVs to fully integrate it into security systems and achieve the highest level of hack-resistance with minimal impact on development resources
• A go-to-market Software Developer Kit that enables complete code integration in days, not weeks
• The easiest and most well-developed integration roadmap available
• Event-driven lead generation
• Marketing/public relations support, and internal and external communications support
• Electronic artwork and technology collaterals
• High-touch joint selling opportunities
• Strategic sales support
• Market-correct pricing schedule
• Ongoing technical and sales training
• Dedicated channel sales manager and inside sales support
• Conference/show support

“Our mission is to drive IP protection that is industry leading in terms of application security while remaining the most end-user friendly,” said Michael Broderick, CEO of Uniloc. “The flexible nature of our offering allows developers involved in software applications, video games, software-as-a-service (SaaS), online publishing, and online banking to enhance the user experience while receiving full support for the protection of intellectual property.”
