It’s that time of year…. kids are already thinking about their wish lists (and some adults too). So why can’t retailers do the same?

Seeing holiday profits is the ultimate gift, but with little room for error, Q4 campaigns must be finely tuned. After all, there’s a lot of stress involved when maximizing marketing campaigns for cost-effective advertising, creating or analyzing a mobile database, and rethinking holiday strategies.

There is so much to consider when it comes to the holidays, leaving retailers wishing for a lot of things, but they generally just scribble in a planner for next year. Here is a look at some holiday wishes that retailers usually keep tucked away:

1. Engaged customers: Retailers want to see customers taking advantage of sales, contests, and product launches, utilizing the corresponding mobile initiatives.

2. Quality shopping experiences both in-store and online: Creating loyal customers will decrease ad spend and support brand value, keeping customers coming back.

3. Successful multi-channel marketing: Branching out during the holidays enables integrated campaigns and allows for a wider reach.

4. New and improved mobile databases: A mobile database made with the appropriate double opt-in will allow retailers to use subscriber data to their advantage, all year long, and promote other campaigns to these customers.

5. Customers who express their interests: Knowing communications preferences and shopping interests helps retailers tailor future campaigns while increasing response rates.

6. Long-term customer relationships: Fostering customer relationships is ideal for growing a mobile database and repeat sales.

7. Increased holiday sales: All this effort is best when retailers see the fruits of their labors!
