Leading Market Research Firm Projects Solid Growth for DEP Market in the Coming Years

BURLINGTON, Mass., USA – August 24, 2009 – StreamServe, Inc., a leading provider of business communication solutions, today announced that it is positioned as a market leader in IDC’s latest forecast for the Dynamic Enterprise Publishing (DEP) market, “Worldwide Dynamic Enterprise Publishing Software 2009-2013 Forecast and Analysis: Customer Correspondence, Transpromo, and Multichannel Publishing Drive Growth. ” Vendors considered “leaders” in this forecast have the largest software market revenue.

This latest IDC study provides a bottom-up sizing of the dynamic enterprise publishing software market in 2008 and includes a forecast for 2009–2013 for this market. Historical and forecast revenue data are shown for the total worldwide market and by geographic region. This study also includes segmentations by industry vertical and by use case. It provides profiles of the leading vendors, and identifies the characteristics that vendors will need to be successful in the future.

In this forecast, IDC states that the DEP market has continued to post strong growth despite the worldwide economic crisis. IDC projects the future of this market over the next several years to be bright, attaining software market revenue of $1.4 billion by 2013 – a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.1%.

“Automating document-intensive business processes is an important IT spending priority today,” said Melissa Webster, program vice president, Content and Digital Media Technologies at IDC. “Dynamic enterprise publishing solutions offer customers an excellent ROI opportunity. These solutions can help to enhance customer loyalty and increase share of wallet, driving new revenues; and at the same time, they can help to reduce the costs and risks associated customer communications and communications to other stakeholders.”

StreamServe, positioned by IDC as a leading vendor in the DEP market, is discussed as being “particularly strong in high-volume output scenarios that require robust packaging capabilities.” The report continues, “StreamServe’s job management facilities enable its customers to generate hundreds of thousands of documents in a matter of a few hours, giving StreamServe a competitive advantage wherever customers need to generate high volumes of statements and invoices from backend ERP systems (its deep SAP integration expertise is another big advantage).”

StreamServe makes it easy for customers to dynamically generate transactional documents with personalized offers and promotions and deliver them in any output format desired, including print, email, HTML, PDF, SMS, etc., enabling marketers to communicate with customers according to their preferences. Its technology is applicable to a wide variety of use cases that extend beyond high-volume batch to on-demand and interactive document generation; and from statements and invoices to all kinds of customer correspondence and business documents.

“While the economic downturn has hurt many businesses, we are pleased to see that IDC anticipates not only a light at the end of the tunnel, but solid growth for the DEP market in the coming years,” commented Dennis Ladd, StreamServe’s president and CEO. “As a leader in this market, we see this growth coming from sectors where there is an increased need for an engaging and meaningful customer experience, and growing customer loyalty. These sectors include financial services, supply chain and the utilities, which all share the need to move more rapidly from paper to electronic business communications in an effort to increase sustainability and reduce costs. StreamServe is well-positioned to meet the growing needs of these businesses and we look forward to continued growth within the DEP market.”
