Woodbridge, New Jersey—June 8, 2009 – As part of SBS’ continual commitment to the communities it serves, SBS joined hundreds of families to show support for Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation’s Annual Walk n’ Roll on May 30th. SBS Group is a leading business management solutions provider for small and mid-size businesses along the East Coast. The company annually selects a variety of community organizations to support and has included organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and most recently Children’s Specialized Hospital.
The Walk n’ Roll is a 1, 2.5 or 5 mile course at Johnson Park in Piscataway, New Jersey. The walk is followed by a carnival with live music, games and prizes. SBS employees contributed monetary donations and participated in the walk. The event was a huge success exceeding its goal to raise $100,000. Proceeds of the event will go toward treating children affected by brain injury, spinal cord dysfunction, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses.
SBS’ efforts were led by Brandon Harris, an account executive in the company’s New Jersey headquarters. He states, “This is the first time I’ve participated in the Walk n’ Roll. It’s astounding to see the dedication and support of all the families. Seeing such a vast turnout of supporters is inspiring to us all and I’m proud to be involved in such a great cause.”
