StreamServe Reduces Bill of Lading Process from Days to Minutes and Order-to-Cash Cycle by 50 Percent

BURLINGTON, MA, USA – October 4, 2007 — StreamServe® Inc., a global leader of Dynamic Enterprise Publishing solutions, today announced that RTC, a leading global provider of retail marketing systems, dramatically improved e-invoicing and document processing as a result of implementing StreamServe. StreamServe technology enabled RTC to automate the creation and production of its shipping and e-invoicing documents, significantly reducing business process inefficiencies related to its bill of lading system.

For prominent clients such as Procter & Gamble, Adidas, Motorola, Kraft, Walgreen’s and Walmart, RTC helps build brand presence and sales generation with brick and mortar shoppers. RTC processes approximately 20,000 invoices and 5,000 bills of lading annually. In order to improve its labor-intensive cash collection process, RTC selected and implemented StreamServe because it offered a flexible, stable and rapid integration path within RTC’s existing Infor/LN ERP system.

The new StreamServe-powered system automates the entire digital signature collection and electronic billing process, enabling RTC to eliminate 20 hours of manual labor and four reams of paper weekly. Leveraging StreamServe, RTC is now able to invoice customers the day after a transaction and reduce a segment of the order-to-cash cycle by 50 percent.

“StreamServe has enabled RTC to significantly reduce time and manual labor from a seven-step process that previously required days, to one that now takes a matter of minutes,” said Scott Coffman, director of Information Services, at RTC. “StreamServe provided us with a quick and effective resolution to a bottleneck that we had to eliminate. The solution is elegant and amazingly simple to use.”

Before implementing StreamServe, signatures for bills of lading were collected manually, digitized and integrated with the bills of lading. The bills of lading were then printed and sent to the accounting department where they were combined with invoices. Now the entire process is digital, eliminating manual processes and paper until the final invoice is mailed.

“Organizations like RTC are always looking for ways to improve business processes and reduce costs,” said Chris Stone, president and CEO, StreamServe, Inc. “Many enterprise document systems require an exorbitant amount of repetitive and time-consuming manual tasks. StreamServe provides a missing link solution that bridges document process solutions with business process applications enabling customers to automate document assembly and production in high-volume environments, while significantly reducing labor and material costs.”
