Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software Unveils Upgraded Version of Sagent Data Flow

New Release Offers Enhanced Enterprise-Class Capabilities that Increase Productivity and Improve Business Intelligence Analysis

Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software has introduced release 6.5 of Sagent Data Flow ™ (http://www.g1.com/link/dataflow), the only data management solution that offers both ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) and BI (Business Intelligence) in a single integrated product. Sagent Data Flow v6.5 is equipped with a new user interface and enterprise-class capabilities designed to improve development productivity, enhance compliance reporting and facilitate global adoption across the enterprise.

Enterprises increasingly need to integrate disparate data stored on various systems across their IT infrastructure. With Sagent Data Flow v6.5, organizations can consolidate data into a singular, viewer-friendly format that can be easily interpreted by an end-user to perform business intelligence analysis and generate comprehensive reports. By mining data that is stored in different storage and database environments, Sagent Data Flow addresses the EII (Enterprise Information Integration) and BI needs of organizations of any size and in any industry.

“Due to its ease of use and improved UI, Sagent Data Flow v6.5 enables a broad range of employees across an enterprise to easily create new queries on multiple data sources,” said Jay Bourland, Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software vice president and general manager of CDQ/CDI. “The improved user interface simplifies the experience of working with the solution for even the most sporadic or novice business intelligence user. Advanced developers will benefit from the ‘linked subplans’ feature that enables them to reuse pre-developed modules, and ultimately accelerate development cycles.”

Sagent Data Flow v6.5 has a number of new enterprise-class features, reporting capabilities and productivity enhancements designed to strengthen the user experience, including:

· New User Interface – More than 35 state-of-the-art user interface features have been enhanced to make Sagent Data Flow v6.5 even easier to work with and more intuitive for business intelligence users.

· Modify Connect Information in SANRUN/Automation – Capability to run an application in different environments, via SARUN and/or Automation, without needing to permanently change any technical settings.

· Linked SubPlans Support – Centrally develop and manage pre-developed modules that can be re-used to reduce redundancy and improve maintainability of every application.

· Data Flow Plans – Automatically document any changes, and details not only on whom and when changes occur, but also what was actually changed. This enables users to understand the “evolvement of plans,” and relieves developers of the burden of having to manually document any changes.
