Executive’s Extensive Sales and Management Experience Perfect Match for

LEXINGTON, Massachusetts–May 22, 2007–Makana Solutions, developer of innovative on-demand software for sales compensation design, today announced that N. Louis Shipley, general manager and group vice president of Citrix’s Management Systems Group, has joined its board of directors. Shipley’s extensive management and sales background enhances the company’s already deep sales expertise.

Shipley joins members William J. Warner, founder of Avid Technology, Inc., and Wildfire Communications, Inc., and Dan Keshian, managing director of TD Capital Ventures, on the Makana Solutions board.

N. Louis Shipley: Extensive Executive and Sales Management Experience
As general manager and group vice president of the Citrix (Nasdaq: CTXS) Management Systems Group, N. Louis Shipley is responsible for the group’s revenue attainment and product marketing, product management, development, and strategic direction. Prior to joining Citrix, Shipley served as president and CEO of Reflectent Software, Inc., a privately held leader in end-user application performance-monitoring solutions. (Citrix acquired Reflectent in 2006.)
Shipley has also served as entrepreneur-in-residence at Highland Capital Partners, and as president, international, and vice president, sales and marketing, for FairMarket, Inc. (now owned by eBay). He served in a variety of sales and operations management positions at Avid Technology, including vice president of Americas and Pacific Field Operations and president of Avid Japan KK, and was vice president, worldwide field operations, for WebLine Communications (now part of Cisco).
Shipley earned an MBA from Harvard University in Massachusetts and a BS degree from Trinity College in Connecticut and. He is a trustee at Westminster School, Simsbury, Connecticut.
