Santa Clara, Calif. – Mimosa Systems, a leader in live content archiving solutions, today announced that it has been selected as one of two finalists for the Microsoft Partner of the Year award in the category ISV/Software Solutions. The Microsoft Partner Program Awards recognize Microsoft partners who have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year.

“We’re gratified that Microsoft has once again recognized the vital role Mimosa continues to play in delivering a robust content archiving solution to Microsoft customers,” said Senior Director, Business Development, Microsoft Alliance, Derek Sanders at Mimosa Systems. “As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Mimosa is recognized for its competencies in networking infrastructure solutions, ISV/software solutions, and advanced infrastructure solutions. Working together, Mimosa and Microsoft secure and extend the Microsoft Platform providing a complementary content archiving solution to Exchange 2007, driving incremental Microsoft revenue and server sales and providing additional value to customers around the globe.”

Awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 entrants worldwide. The ISV/Software Solutions Partner of the Year award recognizes the ISV competency partner that excels at developing and delivering packaged software to customers. The winning partner’s software solution works together with one or more of the latest Microsoft server-based platforms and middleware products including Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Windows Server 2003, Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Microsoft Business Solutions (all products and versions), Information Worker and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The partner’s solution is also built using Microsoft .NET development framework(s) and tools including Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008. A qualified ISV software solution helps customers make better-informed decisions and facilitate effective collaboration with colleagues, customers, and partners.

“Partners are critical to delivering rich business solutions and innovative excellence to customers,” said Allison Watson, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft. “Congratulations to the 2008 Partner Award winners who have each demonstrated innovation beyond measure and an unswerving commitment to delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction. We look forward to these partners continuing to raise the bar in the design and deployment of customer solutions built on Microsoft technologies.”

Since its inception, Mimosa Systems has demonstrated technology excellence with email archiving products that address critical business challenges. In 2005, Mimosa revolutionized email archiving with the innovative and unique architecture of Mimosa NearPoint™, based on transaction log shipping rather than journaling to allow for comprehensive and seamless content and metadata collection. Then in 2007, Mimosa again raised the bar by bringing grid computing to Microsoft® Exchange email archiving environments, allowing for virtually unlimited scalability across the largest of enterprise environments. Most recently, Mimosa was positioned in the Visionaries Quadrant of the Gartner, Inc. “Magic Quadrant for E-Mail Active Archiving, 2008” report, the second year in a row the company has earned that distinction. These and other success milestones are the result of Mimosa leading through innovation, using archiving as the core enabler of the Mimosa unstructured information platform. In the course of just a few years, Mimosa has delivered the industry’s strongest archiving-based platform, along with best-in-class applications such as eDiscovery, end-user secure search, and disaster recovery.
