This is the latest in a series of weekend posts highlighting a wide variety of applications we think are pretty cool. Most have to do with sales, marketing and productivity. Check out past featured apps here.
I’ve held off on writing about Socedo in part because I’m an advisor to the co-founders, and didn’t want to look like I was pitching for something in any kind of biased way.
But now that I have data, I need to share just how valuable I think this tool is.
Put simply, Socedo is a marketing engine that finds & engages qualified leads for you on Twitter. First, it allows you to filter the massive Twitter universe based on keywords, titles and locations.
Then, with a single click, you can set off an automated process by which you favorite and eventually follow the targeted lead, then when they follow you back Socedo sends a personalized, custom direct message (DM) with a link to whatever you want.
I’ve been using Socedo to target leads in a handful of categories we care about at Heinz – marketing automation, content marketing and inside sales management specifically.
In just the past three weeks, I’ve “approved” 1,825 leads for follow-up. Of those 1,825 leads, 626 have followed me back on Twitter.
I’ve generated 100 clicks back to our site to learn more, and 37 individuals registering for one or more of our white papers. And clearly, the remaining 575+ new Twitter followers could convert into leads down the road as well.
Socedo charges a flat monthly fee with no limit to the number of leads you can engage, and I can tell you the results above haven’t been optimized for keywords and volume so there’s room to grow. Despite that, I’m paying less per lead and per Twitter follow than I can through most of our other paid marketing channels, or even from Twitter itself.
Well worth checking out.
