Luxembourg, 12th June, 2007 – MACH, the leading global clearing and settlement partner for mobile based transactions, today announced the launch of MACH SMS, a pioneering solution to provide operators with access to multiple global networks via a dedicated SMS Hub. MACH’s solution will enable the seamless transmission of SMS data across global destinations by means of just one gateway, following the GSMA initiative on Open Connectivity.

MACH SMS has been launched to help operators manage the exponential growth in SMS usage and overcome the challenges associated with the set-up and handling of SMS inter-working agreements. New SMS destinations can automatically become available whilst connected to the MACH SMS Hub, either directly or though peering with other networks.

The new solution will also provide operators with a number of opportunities to expand the service for both existing bilateral and non-bilateral traffic. Operators can manage all technical, security and commercial aspects of their agreements and extend coverage. Connection via the MACH SMS Hub between connected client networks also includes MNP (Mobile Number Portability) and routing capabilities for GSM, CDMA and TDMA networks.

MACH is also launching a SMS Clearing Service for operators to benefit from a central and complete Rating, Reporting and Security solution for bilateral SMS agreements. This new service is based on the Company’s expertise in Data and Financial Clearing and Business Intelligence.

“Implementing inter-working relationships with all foreign operators is a time-consuming method of extending coverage” commented Roland Föller, Product Manager for MACH SMS Solution. “Opportunities to maximise data revenues cannot be realised in this way.”

Roland Föller continued, “To cope with this growing demand for SMS, operators need robust and reliable global connectivity. MACH is well placed to provide operators with not just the solution, but also the expertise to help them manage the demand and secure those valuable revenue streams”
