Laserfiche has officially launched its Professional Developer Partnership program, allowing third party integrators and software vendors to use its document management toolkit to create their own, tailored applications. Go to www.laserfiche.com/marketplace to take a look.
An established document management software company, Laserfiche previously utilized its authorized Value Added Reseller channel for supplying image enabled applications to clients.
“Growing demand among Laserfiche’s 23,000 plus user base for more packaged, controlled-cost integrations led us to create the Professional Developer Partnership (PDP) program” said Tom Wayman, Director of Product Strategy at Laserfiche.
According to Wayman, the PDP program follows three main principles. “First, how can we use market forces to help ensure our customers can select affordable, reliable integrations that meet their needs?”
“Second, how do we enhance the toolkit and supporting documentation to ensure that integrations can be created in a matter of hours or days?
“And third, how do we allow integrators to easily bring their creations to market?” Wayman added.
The Laserfiche Marketplace was then launched as a means for both PDP members and Laserfiche users to showcase the solutions and configurations they have developed. The directory offers both free and paid applications, visitors can also learn which integrations are available, read more about what each integration does, and see how to take the next step towards acquiring integrations or configurations they’re interested in.
Customers can also leverage a “bounty system” to request integrations they don’t see. As Laserfiche moves forward with the Marketplace, the company plans to give customers the ability to post comments and rate offerings.
