(London – 2nd October 2007) IT Europa is pleased to announce the expansion in its southern European coverage with the appointment of Valeria Camerino to the staff. Valeria has a Masters degree in international journalism from the University of Central Lancashire in the UK and has worked at the Lancashire Evening Post and European Commission.

A native Italian speaker, Valeria has also lived in Luxembourg and Spain and is fluent in Spanish as well as English. Her primary role will be to support IT Europa’s expanding coverage of all the Mediterranean countries and the European IT business generally.

“I think the IT industry is full of contrasts in this part of Europe.” commented Valeria Camerino. “And there are many aspects I am keen to convey to our readers, so they can make the right business decisions. Getting the views of those at the cutting edge of change, and from those taking the critical decisions around the industry will be a challenge.”

John Garratt, Editor of IT Europa added: “We know from our recent work how key these markets are, particularly with all the recent changes in the Spanish market, and the new opportunities in Italy. Valeria’s appointment will make IT Europa even more essential reading for IT companies making decisions on where and how to grow in Europe. Over the coming months we will expand our coverage of the whole area with local in-depth reports.”
