data integration, featuring:
* Informatica Cloud Platform — a multi-tenant, enterprise-class data

Winter ’09 release and Informatica Address Quality Cloud Services.
* New and expanded Informatica offerings via Amazon EC2 —

“Informatica pioneered true software-as-a service data integration more than
three years ago and today takes another big step forward by delivering a
complete cloud platform as a service for our customers and partners with
Informatica Cloud 9,” said Ron Papas, general manager, Informatica Cloud.
“Informatica continues to invest in all aspects of cloud computing to
deliver the industry-leading offerings to customers so they can become
data-driven enterprises.”
Informatica Cloud Platform
The new Informatica Cloud Platform enables developers and Systems Integrator
(SI) partners to build, share and reuse custom data integration and data
quality mappings and run them in the cloud.
* Developers can productively collaborate within IT teams to create
reusable data integration and data quality mappings in the cloud or
on premise.
* Business users can easily configure data rules themselves or run
mappings built by IT using Informatica Cloud Services for self-
service data integration.
“Integration remains a top challenge and priority as organizations become
more involved in cloud and SaaS implementations,” said Jeffrey M. Kaplan,
Managing Director, THINKstrategies, Inc. and Founder of the SaaS Showplace.
“Informatica Cloud 9 delivers a robust platform to power a marketplace of
re-usable data integration and data quality components.”
“Fujitsu has partnered with Informatica for over six years, with a
particular focus on data integration to cloud applications in some of the
largest Salesforce CRM deployments,” said Henry Hai, Director SaaS Practice,
Fujitsu America. “Informatica Cloud 9 will dramatically simplify
cloud-to-cloud and cloud to on-premise data integrations.
Leveraging Informatica Cloud 9, our clients can now productively integrate
their cloud data — including their Salesforce CRM data.”
“Using Informatica, we’ve developed an SAP data integration as a service
solution for salesforce.com customers,” said Michael J Urban, Managing
Partner, ITB Consult. “Now with the new Informatica Cloud 9 we plan to
develop re-usable templates to accelerate time to market and reduce total
cost of ownership for our customers. Informatica Cloud 9 gives us the power
and flexibility to meet enterprise requirements and deliver solutions to
non-technical business users.”
Informatica Cloud Services
The Winter ’09 release of Informatica Cloud Services, which are
purpose-built, software-as-a-service (SaaS) data integration applications
designed for non-technical users, introduces significant productivity
enhancements.
* Salesforce CRM and Force.com users can take advantage of broader
connectivity, more flexible scheduling capabilities and new levels
of support for assignment rules when working with the marketing
leads.
* A new sandbox feature allows data synchronization, replication and
quality tasks to be easily copied for non-production work such as
development and testing.
* The Informatica Address Quality Cloud Services enable rapid
verification and correction of postal address details for 240
countries ensuring that only accurate and correct addresses are
fed directly into CRM systems, ERP systems or call center
applications.
“We’re using Informatica Cloud Services to replicate millions of rows of
data from Salesforce CRM to a centralized database running on Amazon EC2,”
said Stephen Brown, Technical Architect, Telegraph Media Group.
“As we think about moving more and more of our IT infrastructure to the
cloud, the ability to develop more complex mappings and workflows and run
them as custom services for line of business managers will allow us to
continue to provide self-service, while IT remains in control.”
“When selecting a data quality business partner for cloud computing services
it is all about trust. We chose AddressDoctor (Informatica Address Quality
Cloud Services) because we can trust that the service offers unparalleled
accuracy, reliable uptime and the most robust postal data set available
today,” said Sheila Donovan, President at Global DM Solutions. “The teams of
professionals behind the product have extensive knowledge and experience. We
can trust that when using this service we deliver a quality product to our
clients every time.”
