How Often Should I Blog?

On the surface, it’s a good question, and one that is asked often. Yet perhaps it’s true that if you have to ask this question you shouldn’t BE blogging.

The reason is that you should blog enough to attain your business goals, and no more, unless of course you are blogging for fun. Why would you go to someone else to find out whether your blog posts are attaining your business goals, OR look for a simplistic answer or generalization that has nothing to do with your business, your target audience, and readership?

Here’s a simple way to think about this. START SOMEWHERE. It doesn’t matter how many times you blog at the start. MEASURE the results from your blogging. Nothing happening? Blog more. Still nothing  happening? Blog even more. Not getting anywhere? Maybe you should give up. Most blogs aren’t going to help the businesses that run them. Maybe you will be in that category.
