Red Herring Award Recognizes the 100 “Most Promising” Companies
Driving the Future of Technology

Denmark, 15th April 2008 – Red Herring today announced that Dezide is a recipient of the Red Herring 100 Europe, an award given to the top 100 private technology companies based in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region each year.

Out of the 100 carefully selected companies, Dezide is the only one working with Knowledge Management software. “I consider this significant proof that Dezide’s strategy to develop advanced and innovative tools for Knowledge Management based on artificial intelligence is correct”, says Claus Skaaning, CEO of Dezide. “Our products that are used to create online self-service guides are becoming well adopted by the market, and in the coming year we will focus on transferring our entire platform to the Web which will create even more opportunities”.

Claus Skaaning is the CEO of Dezide which has specialized in software for knowledge sharing and guided troubleshooting. Dezide was founded in Nov 2001. Today the company has many customers using the products to deliver a better and more efficient service, for instance in Denmark, Switzerland, the US, Japan, Iceland and the Middle East.

Dezide’s intelligent guides are based on artificial intelligence technology and suggests an optimized sequence of questions to uncover the underlying problem and get it resolved in as few steps as possible and with the lowest possible cost. The guides are self-learning and can be integrated with external data-sources to become even more adaptive and dynamic.

“This year’s impressive list of winners demonstrates Europe’s emergence as a major player in the global technology sector,” said Red Herring Editor-in-Chief, Joel Dreyfuss. “The exceptional accomplishments of European technology companies and entrepreneurs are a testament to the rapid advancements being made in building the European innovation ecosystem.”

Red Herring’s lists of top private companies are an important part of the company’s tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs. Companies like Google, eBay and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors, and touted as leaders that would change the way we live and work.

Red Herring’s editorial staff rigorously evaluated more than hundreds of private companies through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.
