My professional goal in life is to have my companies I run to be known for delivering awesome experiences. Whether it be in awesome products, services, or overall work experience, it was all about delivering awesomeness.

So where do you begin?

Step 1 – It all starts with people. People are simple once you pull back all the crap. In order for your people to deliver awesomeness, they need to be truly happy with where they are in their career and life. Focus on making your employees know they are the #1 asset of your company by doing awesome things for them that they do not expect.

Step 2 – Define why your company exists and your company’s core values. Defining this will communicate to the world why they should care about your company. It will also allow anybody in the organization to make a decision based on this criteria pretty much the same way anybody else would.

Step 3 – Have the right people in the right seat. You could have Michael Jordan on your team, but if he was playing football for you rather than basketball, the results would be less than awesome.

Step 4 – Think different by being hungry and curious. Throw out the traditional thinking and the old saying, “Well that is the way it has been done in the past.” By thinking hungry and curious, you are communicating that you are not afraid of failure and you are always seeking a better and new way. if you are not moving forward, you are dyeing.

I think this is a great topic and I will be writing allot more about delivering awesomeness. What are some ways you deliver awesomeness?
