Hands-On Educational Program Provides System and Storage Administrators Product Accreditation for the Planning, Installation, and Configuration of StorageX

TEANECK, N.J. – August 22, 2013 – Data Dynamics, Inc., a leader in solutions for the discovery, reporting, migration, and management of file-based storage, today announced a new StorageX Administrator training program designed to introduce system and storage administrators and architects to the innovative file data management capabilities provided in StorageX 7.0. The new web-based, virtual product training program offers detailed education on the implementation and configuration of StorageX, as well as how to use key StorageX features such as StorageX Phased Migration and Archival Migration policies, Migration Projects, and DFS Namespace Management.

“Enterprise data center storage administrators continue to seek new ways to increase data availability, minimize user downtime, and optimize storage capacity,” said Piyush Mehta, Data Dynamics CEO. “StorageX is a proven solution to achieve these objectives while also dramatically simplifying storage management and reducing the total cost of ownership of networked storage infrastructures. With the StorageX Administrator training program, students will learn everything they need to know to optimize their StorageX infrastructure for superior storage migration and management.”

The StorageX Administrator training program (SXAT-7) consists of a series of three, three-hour virtual, web-based, instructor-led classes. Each will provide students with individual hands-on access to the Data Dynamics virtual Training Lab (VTL), allowing students to practice each of the skills acquired in class in a live environment. Following the course, attendees will receive StorageX product accreditation and will be able to:

• Identify the benefits and features of StorageX
• Plan and install StorageX in enterprise storage environments
• Configure policies that facilitate file data movement and migration between heterogeneous
NAS devices
• Perform basic troubleshooting, diagnostic, and maintenance tasks
• Describe the benefits of DFS Namespaces provide in enterprise storage environments
• Use StorageX to create and configure DFS Namespaces that allow administrators to perform
file data management tasks with minimal disruption to end users

About the StorageX Platform
Acting as the engine behind Data Dynamics’ storage infrastructure management, unstructured file data management, and private cloud data management solutions, StorageX enables aggregation and centralized management of networked file storage. This makes it possible for storage professionals to add, consolidate, migrate, and failover Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Windows storage systems. The solution allows for data accessibility through the use of a unified data view, regardless of where the data is stored. Using an automated, policy-based storage management approach, StorageX maximizes business user data access and minimizes user downtime.
