RESTON, VA. (April 6, 2009) – Clarabridge, the leading provider of text mining software used by many Global 1000 companies to improve customer experience management (CEM), announced today it has added three top-level executives to its management team to support the fast-paced growth Clarabridge continues to experience despite the down economy.

Brendan Haggerty joins the company as vice president of engineering at Clarabridge. Haggerty brings over 13 years experience in managing, developing, and implementing enterprise applications. Prior to joining Clarabridge, Haggerty was cross product lead at SAP, where he was responsible for coordinating and managing product release activities. Prior to this position, Haggerty served as vice president at C-Systems International and senior principal at American Management Systems (AMS).

Sean Phillips has joined the company as vice president of product development. Prior to joining Clarabridge, Phillips served as chief information officer at VetInsite, where he was responsible for product management, software development, IT infrastructure, and day-to-day operations. He has also served in various software engineering and IT management roles at Edmunds.com, Digex, Etensity, NDC Group and Gateway.

Clarabridge has also promoted Gene Sohn to the position of chief architect, where he will drive the company’s technology architecture and R&D through innovative product design. Previously, he served as vice president of engineering at Clarabridge.

Rounding out the new hires, Jack Mok joins the firm as western regional technical account manager. In this role, he acts as the central point of contact for Clarabridge’s customers, guiding them from implementation through production stages. Mok is a former vice president of client services at Island Data, now known as Overtone, where he directed a team of pre-sales, implementation and professional services, and account management professionals.

“Clarabridge has built a strong reputation as a leading provider of industry-changing text mining solutions for customer experience management, and our reputation for high impact, ROI producing solutions has helped us attract a significant number of blue-chip customers,” said Sid Banerjee, co-founder and president of Clarabridge. “In order to keep up with demands of our fast-growing client base, we have significantly expanded our product and R&D teams to ensure that we maintain our pace of market leading innovation through 2009 and beyond.”

Just this month, Clarabridge announced the industry’s first real-time, automated customer issue analysis, response, and routing solution powered by text mining. In 2008, it also introduced the industry’s first SaaS-based text mining software solution that has been widely adopted by a large number of the company’s customers.

Text mining software is becoming a strategic component for driving customer experience management initiatives. Clarabridge, which tripled its revenue in 2008, has over 50,000 business users processing more than 50 million customer verbatims annually, enabling them to stay competitive by improving products and services, reducing churn and improving their customer’s overall experience.
