Cheers to the Basta comedy group and VRT Television, for pulling off one of the most fabulous pranks we’ve ever seen. Basically, the actors, who eventually pose as customer service reps for a storage company, are camped inside a shipping container that’s been deposited in front of Mobistar’s main entrance. Mobistar is one of Belgium’s largest mobile companies and is apparently notorious for its bad customer service, and guessing from this video, the biggest failures are with the company’s call center.
When Mobistar security calls the phone number listed on the container, hilarity ensues (as does one of the BEST uses of a Lionel Ritchie song we’ve ever seen!)
The only bummer is Mathieu, the hapless security guard at Mobistar, is the one who bears the brunt of this hilarious lesson in what it feels like first-hand to go through call center hell. We’re pretty sure this video got to the right people, however, and Mathieu has emerged as a giant hero in Belgium as a result of this video’s broadcast, so it’s all good.
