Asigra Chief Operating Officer to Advise on Improving Technical and Marketing Best Practices for Managed Services Industry

TORONTO – Asigra Inc., the technology leader in agentless information recovery management, empowering service-oriented business continuity for the real-time enterprise, today announced that Asigra COO Eran Farajun has joined the MSP Alliance (MSPA) Vendor Advisory Board. In his advisory role, Farajun will support the organization with technical and marketing best practices for information recovery services.

The MSPA board helps advance the managed services industry on a worldwide basis and serves as an advocate for best practices. Executive board members address and resolve vendor-specific issues related to creating technical standards, supporting the global Managed Service Provider (MSP) profession, and improving relationships between vendors and MSPs.

Farajun spearheads operational efforts for Asigra, an information recovery management platform provider for more than 22 years. The first to focus on desktop to data center information recovery, Asigra has established itself as a leader with recognition from leading analysts including Gartner, IDC, and Ovum and significant business traction in the delivery of service-oriented backup and recovery. Industry milestones achieved by the company are extensive and include delivery of Asigra™ Televaulting™, the first and only agentless information recovery platform for managed service providers. Asigra Televaulting enables enterprises to reduce the cost, performance, interoperability, security, and compliance issues associated with agent-based backup and recovery solutions.

Farajun has been integral in bringing information recovery services to the mainstream through market education emphasizing the benefits of service-oriented backup and recovery. He is responsible for overseeing Asigra’s strategic long-term initiatives for the company’s Televaulting information recovery management platform and brings nearly 10 years’ experience in marketing utility storage software technologies. Farajun holds a law degree from the University of Sheffield in the U.K.

“The close relationship of technology vendors and MSPs is key to enabling the success of the managed services market worldwide,” said Charles Weaver, MSPA president. “Eran’s focus on technology innovation, best practices, and channel partnerships has contributed greatly to the establishment of global standards of excellence in this fast-growing market. We are honored to have him join our vendor advisory board.”
“I look forward to working with the MSPA and my fellow board members to develop excellent ties between vendors and MSPs, and to educating the marketplace about the benefits of managed services,” said Farajun. “The MSPA’s advisory board is a wonderful forum for nurturing technical and marketing best practices and raising the visibility of our industry—I am proud to be able to contribute.”

In 2007, Asigra became the first data protection vendor to receive accreditation by the MSPA for Asigra Televaulting. The accreditation by the MSPA designated Asigra as a preferred vendor for service providers seeking to offer information recovery as a service. The MSPA provides a foundation for measuring excellence and stability when it comes to service-enabling technology vendors, specifically those that enable managed services.
