Anita Borg Institute CEO Featured in Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal’s 2008 Who’s Who In Silicon Valley

The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (ABI) announced today that President and CEO Telle Whitney was selected for the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal’s 2008 Who’s Who in Silicon Valley. Whitney was featured alongside other top executives in the April 25th special supplement to the journal.

Dr. Telle Whitney has served as President and CEO of ABI since 2003, focusing on increasing the impact of women on all aspects of technology as well as increasing the positive impact of technology on the world’s women. She has 20 years of experience in the semiconductor and telecommunications industries and has held senior technical management positions with Malleable Technologies (now PMC-Sierra) and Actel Corporation. Dr. Whitney is also co-founder of the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference, which is the world’s largest gathering of technical women in computing and offers opportunities for mentoring, motivation, networking, and technical and career development.
