Mountain View, California – April 20, 2015 – Software startup Altocloud today announced that Smyths Toys, a leading provider of children’s toys and entertainment products, has deployed its predictive communications platform to help optimize e-commerce customer engagements. Altocloud, recently named a Cool Vendor in Gartner’s CRM Customer Service 2015 report, intelligently identifies the optimal online visitors and delivers tailored chat, voice, video and personalized content so customers get the information and help they need at exactly the right moment.

Smyths Toys, founded in 1987, operates 80 stores throughout the UK and Ireland and is one of the largest online retailers in the region.

“Our priority is to streamline online shopping experiences for our millions of visitors. Predicting and targeting the best real-time communication opportunities is key to optimizing customer experiences, as well as making the best use of own resources,” said Rob Wilson, CTO, Smyths Toys.

The Altocloud platform combines machine-learning technology with real-time communications to predict the right time to interact with online visitors according to visitor behavior and desired business outcomes. This can include reaching out to returning high-value customers who need advice and also customers who appear to be having difficulty, as indicated by repetitive back-and-forth online journeys, multiple attempts to checkout, or rapidly leaving certain pages.

“To fully understand customer behavior we need to interact and talk to the right visitors while they need help and are live on our site,” continued Rob Wilson of Smyths Toys. “Altocloud allows us to specifically target the types of visitor that are most critical to us at any time, leading to happier customers and better insights about customer journeys.”

“Leading online retailers like Smyths Toys want to increase sales while improving the customer experience,” said Altocloud CEO Barry O’Sullivan. “Our platform is the first complete communications solution for e-commerce, enabling retailers to increase conversions by communicating with shoppers at the right moments.”

Altocloud also announced that its Predictive Communications Solution is now available as a Magento Extension, with the following benefits for commerce companies:
* Identify the most important site visitors and interact using live voice, video, and chat at the right moments,
* Reduce or deflect unnecessary calls with personalized content,
* Increase average order values, improve conversions and prevent abandons by enhancing customers’ shopping experiences,
* Install in minutes and use powerful machine learning to improve outcomes over time.

Altocloud will be exhibiting its software at the Magento Imagine Commerce 2015 conference, April 20-22, in booth 34 at the Wynn in Las Vegas – see
