I came across this video by the RSA of a talk given by Professor Philip Zimbardo.
The first thing I thought of after watching the video was, are we understanding our kids? Are we building an experience in the past or the future? When you take the proactive approach to building your Customer Experience, are you being proactive enough and designing it with the future in mind? Too often companies try to just deal with what’s in front in them without being willing to be proactive and future minded. Are you prepared for whats round the corner? Could you organisation adapt to a changing consumer or media landscape? Or are you just concentrating on what you can deal with in front of you?
The companies that will continue to prosper this century won’t be the global conglomerates of the past, it will be the future-facing organisations of today like Google who are building tomorrows industries and already designing the customer experiences for them as well.
