The Only Way To Grow Is To Learn

Last week I talked about one of the best ways to thank your employees is to provide them skills that make them more marketable.

In my experience, it is the organizations that create a culture of learning and the dialogue that comes from this learning that are the most innovative.

These innovations, the kind that impact customers with a product they didn’t know they needed or a service that is exceptional, are the type that create competitive advantage.

I would argue that this type of learning and innovation for customers creates competitive advantage for organizations, divisions, work groups and individuals.

Said differently, if you are not learning and growing, you certainly are not getting better as an organization, division, work group or individual.

If you are a leader, I ask you; are you creating a culture of learning and development with your employees? If not, why not?
