Being inclusive with recognition is important for attracting and retaining both employees and customers.
Remember, inclusive recognition:
- requires diagnoses
- requires specific and timely feedback.
- should be focused on the individual likes, wants and motivations.
- operates on the premise of what motivates people, is what motivates people.
Rewarding, recognizing and reinforcing the acquisition of skills, the increase in competency levels and enhanced employee commitment is without a doubt one of the best practices any organization can employ to create intense levels of employee engagement.

I enjoyed reading the infographic above and can really relate to what they call as Inclusive recognition. I am an employee myself for how many years. I have encountered various personalities of employers and bosses along the way. Particularly I have a boss that gives orders and proceeds right after I finish the task. No appreciation at all and work becomes boring over time. Compared to my current boss, I am enjoying my work! Specially when I complete every task, a simple “Good job”, “Nice work” and other positive driving phrases motivates me to do better in my next task. As I read the infographic I can really say that people requires appreciation every now and then. Thus in a world of professionals, a simple recognition is a very remarkable thing an employer could offer to their team!
