Over the past two years, there’s been a sharp realization that the cloud for all the inevitable skepticism is a real platform for delivering CRM.

The main blockers in the past have been the fear of security, immature technology and let’s face it very few realistic offerings on the cloud.
But now, we see E-mail, Portals and CRM blazing the trail on CRM. So briefly, what’s the attraction? Well in my view, the technology is here (broadband, web services, web 2 etc), perceptions have changed thanks to the social web/media (facebook, YouTube, WAYNE et. al) have contributed to people being at ease to use cloud technologies, economic and environmental conditions. Time will not permit me to elaborate on the last two but watch this space…

All I can say is that for the first time people are serious about buying SaaS CRM. My view is that the attraction of price, ubiquity of the web paradigm and the power of choice! (well sort of).

I market and sell Dynamics CRM because in my view it delivers the best CRM platform today for tomorrow’s needs. I know, shame faced marketing you say but I say it’s the bold faced truth! There are other solutions out there like SAP, Siebel On-demand, SugarCRM, SalesForce.com and more who have all embraced SaaS for delivering CRM but I’ll leave it to the analysts and researchers to give you their perspective for an obvious fee.
