Building the future of online communities

I was fortunate enough to be invited to take part in a roundtable discussion hosted by giffgaff the other week – Building the future of communities. The roundtable was part of Social Media Week London. The discussion covered a number of different topics including identity, privacy, online/offline, diminished reality, artificial language, universal translators and augmented reality. One of the themes that really resonated with me, however, was the idea of technology becoming a total enabler, and in the process rendering itself invisible in the process.

For those of you who couldn’t make it, here’s a short video of it courtesy of TechFluff.tv.
