Celebrate The Service Journey!

I’m often too tough on myself.  I no sooner finish one project or chore than I immediately refocus my attention on the next task at hand.  There’s always so much to be done!  However, what ends up happening when a break isn’t taken and the milestones acknowledged and celebrated, is I tend to become less productive, discouraged and not as creative. 

This is also true than when implementing your own service journey in your department or business.  No doubt you have realized service does not just happen and it’s hard work!  Rather than simply move from one milestone to the next, it is important to celebrate the progress along the way, however, so you and your employees don’t become disheartened and want to give up.  

The holiday season provides a great time to reflect and celebrate.  But be sure to take time to celebrate your progress throughout the year as well. 

And on this point I will try and take my own advice and celebrate life’s successes, instead of constantly focusing on what hasn’t worked and still needs to be done.  Happy Holidays!  Hoping you, your friends and family have a holiday season filled with exceptional experiences!
