Andrew McAfee has a great post about The Pursuit of Busyness at his HBS blog.
Some of his Harvard MBA students make the very valid point that staff seen using Enterprise2.0 tools like blogs, wikis, podcasts, etc, for business purposes, even the Internet, may be perceived as not being ‘busy’ at their real job. At a time when as McKinsey suggests, we are all knowledge workers, this is a pretty sad state of affairs. And one that handicaps a company’s competitive advantage.
Tip of the hat to Johnnie Moore.
What do you think? Had I better get back to work before someone spots me blogging? Or is this part of being a CRMGuru?
