You can’t look anywhere without hearing someone giving advice to business about how important it is for them to get on the social media train. What’s scary is that there is very little good evidence that it will be profitable for most businesses, while there is a fair amount of indirect information to tell us that businesses get on the train, then jump off once they realize it’s a dry hole.<\/p>\n

So, it’s a goofy question. Are the people who are pushing and promoting social media to businesses as a means to make money, operating unethically? Taking this a bit into aliceinwonderland, does some of what’s said about social media border on misrepresentation and become criminal and fraudulent?<\/p>\n

Isn’t that what we call it when people make false claims?<\/p>\n
