The TAS Group Announces Appointment of Matt Close as VP, Global Sales

SEATTLE, Mar. 23, 2009 – The TAS Group, the world leader in sales effectiveness, today announced the appointment of Matt Close to the newly created position of VP, Global Sales.

The creation of this role is in response to growth in the company’s Dealmaker on-demand sales effectiveness software platform, and underscores the global nature of the company’s business.

As evidence of The TAS Group’s leadership role in shifting the sales effectiveness industry from an event-based model to a sustainable process driven through the use of on-demand software, the company has aligned its resources to further accelerate this new model. This includes reshaping the sales organization to better serve direct customers and prospects for Dealmaker, as well as expansion into new channels of distribution.

Close joined The TAS Group in 2004 and has served in several sales executive roles for the company. Prior to The TAS Group, he led sales organizations for The Coca-Cola Company that interacted both with direct customers and distributors to deliver sales growth in mature markets. Later, he founded and led a management and leadership training practice focused on enabling companies to build strong management teams. Close has a master’s degree in business administration from Azusa Pacific University with an emphasis in business leadership, and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California at Irvine.
