The tech entrepreneurs behind TeamSupport, one of the industry’s best help
desk software solutions, now accepting applications for a new scholarship
investing in the education and development of tech’s next generation

DALLAS (July 9, 2013) – In an effort to promote technology entrepreneurship
and support the next generation of technology innovators, the founders of
award-winning customer support software today announced the
creation of its new “Future Technology Innovators” college scholarship.

Students in good standing currently enrolled at accredited colleges or
universities and who are studying technology, IT, web development, business
or related fields are invited to apply. One $2,000 scholarship will be
awarded for the Fall 2013 semester; the funds may be applied toward tuition,
books, extended study opportunities or used as seed money to research and

The selected scholarship recipient will also be invited to participate in
TeamSupport’s industry blog featuring observations and commentary about
today’s tech industry.

“As successful tech entrepreneurs who were blessed with great mentors and
opportunities along the way, my colleagues and I place value on giving back
to the next generation of tech leaders,” said Robert C. Johnson, co-founder

when national headlines continue to dominate about the sluggish economy and
the difficulty students face paying for college and gaining meaningful

Over the course of his career as an information technology professional,
entrepreneur and CEO, Johnson has founded and led multiple technology and
software companies. In 1994 he founded Sundance Digital, the creator of
software for TV stations to control the playout of commercials and
programs—a technology that today touches everyone who watches TV. After the
company was sold to Boston-based Avid Technologies in 2006, he founded, one of the leading collaborative customer support software
suites on the market.

Johnson, who mentors up-and-coming entrepreneurs, says: “I tell young
