Single view of all data

Is this an overused phrase? A single view of your customer? For some tools it certainly is. For good, fully functional CRM it is not. What are important views:
* Leads
* Trouble Tickets
* Sales opportunities
* Orders
* Inventory Status
* History
* Activity defined as meetings, calls, events.
* Emails pertaining to this customer
* Commissions paid
* Shipment info
* And what else….
