Sage North America Helps Zyvax Inc. Double Sales And Obtain Aerospace Quality Management Certification

Mold-release chemical manufacturer’s use of ACT! by Sage contact and customer management system recognized with CRM Excellence Award

Scottsdale, Ariz. – April 9, 2010 – Sage North America, a provider of business management software and services to more than three million small and midsized businesses in Canada and the United States, announces its customer, Zyvax Inc., is a 2010 CRM Excellence Award recipient. The award, presented by Customer Inter@ction Solutions® magazine, is based on growth Zyvax achieved by implementing an ACT! contact and customer management system. Zyvax has doubled sales and obtained a key quality management certification since implementing ACT!.

Zyvax is a manufacturer of environmentally friendly mold-release chemicals for the military, marine, aerospace, transportation, and wind power industries. The company began using ACT! in 2005 when it sought a user-friendly contact management solution to help sales and support employees communicate effectively with customers. The company engaged ACT! Certified Consultant, Pat Egen Consulting, to implement ACT! with functionality that creates service tickets and monitors call volume and resolution times. Rapid support call resolution resulted and helped Zyvax obtain AS9100 certification, a quality management requirement of the aerospace industry.

Global Zyvax sales representatives connect remotely to the company’s centralized database using the ACT! Web client, and enter activities and notes used in reports summarizing their work and tracking upcoming customer visits.

“It is important for us to have a system our representatives can access without installing more software on their laptop computers,” explains says Tannis Layman, North American sales director for Zyvax. “They get access to the ACT! database anytime and anywhere with an Internet connection, and the company avoids excessive IT costs. Meanwhile, we have doubled our sales volume and credit ACT! for the process efficiencies that have made this possible.”
