New Sage SalesLogix Mobile enables rich CRM functionality on popular devices including iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry; browser-based design allows rapid Mobile CRM deployment

Scottsdale, Ariz. – March 10, 2011 – Sage North America today announced that Sage SalesLogix v.7.5.3 customers can now rapidly extend CRM functionality to a wide range of devices including iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ and BlackBerry® Torch™ as well as HTML5/CSS3-compliant browsers such as Safari®, Google Chrome™, Opera® and Firefox® at no additional charge. The new customizable, browser-based Sage SalesLogix Mobile works with Sage SalesLogix on-premises and Sage SalesLogix Cloud systems and interacts with each device’s navigation, mapping, dialing and email functions to simplify the user experience. The new Sage SalesLogix Mobile operates online and offline, is centrally managed and customized, and updates automatically over the air.

“The new Sage SalesLogix Mobile and web client features are the latest in a series of ongoing enhancements we’re releasing to extend CRM flexibility and business value for our customers,” said Larry Ritter, senior vice president and general manager, Sage CRM Solutions. “With no mobile components to install, world-class usability and support for a wide range of today’s popular mobile devices at no extra charge, our customers can rapidly expand the usability and flexibility of their CRM systems while achieving the low cost of ownership they desire.”

The new Sage SalesLogix Mobile is the latest mobile development by Sage for its small and midsized business customers. Last month, the company announced Sage Mobile Payments, a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant product enabling Sage Payment Solutions merchant account customers to accept credit and debit card payments on more than 400 types of mobile phones and computing devices with no incremental mobile processing or transaction fees.

Sage is leveraging innovative technology standards to develop new products and enhance existing ones including HTML5 and its own SData™ protocol which provides common integration between Sage applications and extensions for integrating with non-Sage applications.

“Adoption of HTML5 is significant for mobility as it offers richer, more interactive features and a standard for building better browser-based applications,” explained Sheryl Kingstone, Yankee Group director of enterprise research. “It’s critical that CRM solutions incorporate HTML5 functionality, along with native device controls for intuitive navigation and location awareness, to deliver users a more personal, flexible and open experience.”

The new Sage SalesLogix Mobile features a task-oriented user interface that puts detailed customer information at a user’s fingertips so they can quickly:

• Create, view and edit customer information including accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities and tickets;
• Access a Quick Actions menu, view and schedule activities, and record important notes;
• Manage meeting schedules, personal activities, phone calls and to-dos;
• Log email and phone interactions to customer history;
• Configure features to match user preferences and receive automatic updates over the air.

Sage SalesLogix provides a complete view of customer interactions across sales, marketing, customer service and support functions so teams can collaborate and respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer inquiries or sales opportunities. Powerful process automation and a highly customizable platform help businesses achieve stronger sales results.

Sage SalesLogix Cloud is a next-generation Cloud-based CRM offering built upon the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud™ (EC2™) infrastructure. Sage SalesLogix Cloud customers enjoy the flexibility and rapid time to value of on-demand systems, combined with the security, control and data ownership associated with traditional on-premise solutions.

The new browser-based Sage SalesLogix Mobile is now available for Sage SalesLogix v7.5.3 customers at no additional charge. Sage continues to support its previous offering, Sage SalesLogix Mobile v5.6, for BlackBerry® and Windows Mobile® devices.
