Scottsdale, Ariz. – August 21, 2007 – Sage Software today announced 63 ACT! Add-on solutions compatible with the new ACT! by Sage 2008 (10.0) contact and customer management product family. ACT! add-on solutions complement and expand ACT! functionality by offering innovative productivity tools that simplify sales, marketing, financial, project management, reporting, mapping, shipping, and mobile device synchronization tasks, among other key business activities.   1. How could anyone take such a wonderful product as the first versions of Act up through V.6 – and absolutely destroy the practical use of it. Act 2008 is almost impossible to back up and restore. The “Act Geeks” have succeeded in making it so protective that a normal user cannot use it – without going through a series of passwords and ID’s that don’t work or open the restore.

    Forget trying to use Act 2008 between 2 computer. Sure if you want to pay an arm and leg to hire the “Geeks” to unravel the secrets of installation and use – I think that is the true motive – paid support.

    Whatever happened to the Act (such as Act 6) that a normal user could install and actually USE without the “Geeks.” – Act 2008 – is bad news for anybody who wants a workable user friendly database program.

  2. We use Sage Act on a daily basis. Our business depends on it. We have found that Sage Act 2008 is much faster and more responsive than 2007. It has an impressive array of new features (especially the customisable dashboard) and once set up correctly, is a dream and joy to use. Automation has never been this impressive. The savings in time (thus money) are amazing.
