Popular mobile apps provider targets athletes using Digital Messaging Center

implement Teradata Applications¹ digital messaging software for email
marketing to support its international data-driven marketing activities.
Runtastic provides mobile apps, products and online services that track and
manage health and fitness data to motivate individuals to get in shape, stay
healthy and improve overall fitness. Teradata Applications¹ consulting
competencies, as well as the messaging software¹s ability to deliver dynamic
emails across different time zones, were primary reasons why Runtastic chose
Digital Messaging Center.

By using Digital Messaging Center, now all of Runtastic¹s company and
promotional newsletters can be distributed to mobile app customers and
retail shop users alike. For example, subscribing athletes can choose to
receive regular updates about their training results, along with information
about new products and Apps. With Digital Messaging Center, Runtastic can
plan on delivering more than 30 million precision-targeted and timely emails
monthly to its customers across 22 different time-zones worldwide.

By employing this new data-driven marketing approach, Teradata Applications
is helping Runtastic optimize its email campaigns through an activity-based
segmentation model. Customers who use Runtastic¹s apps most frequently are

Digital Messaging Center¹s native message rendering tool, combined with the
ability to do mobile-specific segmentations on customer data, ensures an

devices. A Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) standard interface feeds
Digital Messaging Center with content provided by the website, which enables
Runtastic to process and use the latest information for their campaigns in
real time.
