NEW Work-at-Home Program Honored With Texas Workforce Award

N.E.W. Customer Service Companies’ Texas Work-at-Home program recognized for
supporting workforce, economic development

Sterling, Va. – N.E.W. Customer Service Companies Inc. (NEW)
has received the Future Workforce Award 2009 from
Texas Workforce , a state government agency
that oversees and provides workforce development services to employers and
job seekers in Texas.

NEW was recognized for its Work-at-Home program
in Tyler,
Texas, which offers employees a unique opportunity to work as customer care
representatives from their own homes.

“We have experienced tremendous success with our Work-at-Home program,” said
Karen Rish, director of NEW’s Work-at-Home Operations. “Employees value the
convenience, independence and job portability that comes with this program,
and we are happy to offer this opportunity to hardworking people in cities
across the nation to support economic development. We’re also pleased to be
offering a ‘green’ job solution that is helping families add income without
adding more cars to the roads.”

NEW launched its Tyler Work-at-Home program in spring 2008. The program has
received positive support from the Tyler Economic Development Council, the
Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the East Texas Workforce Center
in Tyler and Tyler Junior College. The Tyler Work-at-Home program supports
one of NEW’s largest clients, DirecTV

The Work-at-Home program has benefited the Tyler community economically and
environmentally. In addition to creating new jobs, the program does not
require employees to commute to work each day, which saves them money on
gasoline and also reduces the amount of carbon emissions. NEW has also
adopted paperless training, eliminating the need for paper in the classroom.
This green solution also provides new employees with paid, hands-on training
to learn how to navigate the online customer-care portals as well as the
knowledge-management systems that provide technical support.

In addition to Tyler, NEW has established two other Work-at-Home programs in
Texas, at Wichita Falls and Texarkana. Work-at-Home locations are also based
in Albany, Ga., Bowling Green, Ky., Carbondale, Ill., Jacksonville, N.C.,
Jonesboro, Ark., and Terre Haute, Ind.
