A weekly benchmark and temperature check from your employees. How you’re doing, how they’re doing. Kudos for their peers. Early warning signs for things to address and/or fix. And they’ll have fun doing it.
That’s TinyPulse. I’ve been using this with our team for the past couple months. It’s a weekly (or bi-weekly) question sent out to everyone on your team or in your company. Most questions ask for a rating between 1-10, and also collect kudos for other team members.
The insights are incredible. Sometimes big, sometimes small.
Sometimes about printers.
A couple weeks ago, the question from TinyPulse to our staff asked what about the company or office drives them nuts. One of the answers came in two words: “slow printer.”
When I asked in a subsequent team meeting if the printer was indeed a problem, the whole room exploded with groans. They were literally ready to take the printer out to the parking lot and “retire” it OfficeSpace-style. I had no idea.
Minor issue? Maybe. But the feedback you’ll get from TinyPulse is worth its weight in gold.
