Are you  happy at work and if so, does that translate into increased productivity, results and success? Research by the economists with the University of Warwick in the UK and a German University revealed that there is a correlation between happiness and higher productivity.

The researchers at Omobono decided to find out what makes B2B marketers at work happy and here’s what they found: most B2B marketers rate their happiness at work as 7.5 out of 10!  (I hope you are smiling as you read this which should boost your rating up to an 8 or 9!)

According to the research, the following factors are making B2B marketers happy:

  • good leadership or management (60%)
  • feeling valued and listened to (56%)
  • pride in the company and its values (50%)
  • recognition and awards (26%)
  • work/life balance (38%)
  • relationships with colleagues (38%)
  • salary and benefits (42%)
  • opportunities to be creative (46%)

In addition, the researchers found out what is the best thing is about being a B2B marketer:

  • variety
  • exciting and fast-paced
  • never dull
  • making a tangible difference
  • room for creativity and innovation
  • challenges
