Big data becoming a boon to the industrial sector.

We always come across the word Data but we haven’t analyzed what this word actually means. Data is a word that has come from a Latin word datum which means ‘to give’. Data is nothing but the raw, lowest level of abstraction form, from which information is derived.Information is a collection of raw data. Data can be explained as some alphabets, numbers or symbols by assembling all this information can be formed.



Big data is a very large volume of structured and unstructured data, it is difficult to process this data with traditional database and software techniques.In big data services,the collection of data is so large and complex that it becomes difficult to process it by using on-hand traditional database management tools or traditional data processing applications. Big data solutions are prearranged by using data whose diversity, complexity, scale is in the requirement of new architectures, algorithms, techniques, and analytics in order to manage it and extract the hidden knowledge in it.

There are varieties of big data by which big data services can be provided, those data are as follows:-

• Various types, formats, and structures.

• Various numbers, alphabets, text, images, audio, video, social media data, time series, etc.

• Single data applications can collect or generate several types of data.

The generation of big data is mostly done by us by using various social media sites and networks. Apart from us, big data is generated by scientific instruments by collecting all sorts of data, mobile devices by tracking objects all the time, sensor technology and networks by measuring all kinds of data. As big data provides big data solutions at a very cheaper and easier means to use, hence this results into a transform in industry.
There are several industries in which big data is performing and initiating competitiveness between them. Some of the key industries in which big data has explored are as follows:-
