Portico Systems, the payer platform for Integrated Provider Management (IPM), was selected by Hometown Health, a 100,000 member health plan with a network of more than 1,600 providers, which is part of northern Nevada’s largest integrated health network, Renown Health. Hometown Health will leverage the Portico Provider Contracting solution to transform its paper and spreadsheet-based contracting processes into a systematic process enabling automation, ease of use, and a reduction of contract cycle times.

“We are pleased to continue to offer our customers the best healthcare plans in northern Nevada,” said Ty Windfeldt, vice president of Hometown Health, the insurance division of Renown Health. “Our decision to select Portico’s as our provider contract management system was based on their unique focus and experience with health plans and their ability to reduce our administration costs and our reliance on paper-based provider contracts. Utilizing the Portico system will enable Hometown Health to become more efficient and provide greater environmental stewardship while increasing our customer satisfaction.”

Inherent in the Portico Provider Contracting solution are the capabilities to manage the entire provider lifecycle and create a single source of truth for all provider contract information. The contracting solution supports Hometown Health’s focus on process automation, reducing reliance on paper and providing information management visibility for provider contract operations.

“We are excited by this partnership with Hometown Health, and we’re confident that our contract solutions will enhance their contracting processes,” said Bill Pocklington, executive vice president and director of Portico Systems. “Strong and transparent provider relationships are important due to changing market trends and regulatory pressures. We are looking forward to supporting Hometown Health with improving their provider relationships through the automation and streamlining of their provider contracting operations.”
